Righties and Romans (and cynics :-) call me sinister, but i'm a nice guy—that's common. I score beyond scale on the Wechsler—that's uncommon, though i doubt it has gotten me very far. I develop software, and help organizations adapt opensource and use social computing in collaborative work. I like working on ideas i think can change the world.

I rarely watch sports except to learn something about a sport i play. When i cycled and raced, i trained and rode 10000km yearly for years, until i burned myself out, but still i prefer doing to watching.

I read anything and everything, from food labels and dictionaries to Internet news and blogs to documentation and manuals. Among my favorites are Tripmaster Monkey, Chautauqua Summer, Eudaemonic Pie, The Predictors, Journey to Ixtlan, George Orwell, Lewis Carroll, Isaac Asimov non-fiction, Douglas Coupland, James Gleick, Hal Abelson, Guy Lewis Steele, Richard Shoup, Louis Kauffman, Roger Penrose, Douglas Hofstadter, Richard Feynman, Arno Penzias, Edward Tufte, Stephen Gould, William Riker, Peter Drucker, Elizabeth Corcoran, Vivian Paley, Francine Shapiro, e e cummings… If “we read to know we are not alone,” i must be awfully lonely —help, help. ;-)
